A Fundraising event hosted at the home of one of St. Nicholas Trustees, Vivienne King, has raised £10,000 for St. Nicholas!
The evening, hosted at Ms King’s home was a roaring success and the money was raised through an auction, raffle, bead jewellery and handmade items (made at the school) and beautiful African paintings.
Delicious Ghanaian food was served and entertainment was provided by Gameli Tordzro, a Ghanian musician now living in Glasgow. Kwakuvi Quashigah, from Farmhouse Productions and a long term supporter of St. Nicholas also flew in from Ghana especially for the event and to help out.
St. Nicholas would like to thank Ms King and her daughter Jessica, other Trustees Ms Eleazar and Ms Dutton also helping out, Mr Quashigah, Gameli Tordzro and all our supporters who donated items that helped to make the event such a success and raise much needed funds towards the running of St. Nicholas School.
Ms King commented after the event ‘I am delighted that the event managed to raise a staggering £10,000 thanks to the kind generosity of everyone who helped, donated and came along. Thank you.’
