Emmanuel and Janet – December 2023

UPDATE ON EMMANUEL ANIM – KG2

Emmanuel Anim continues to progress well in his academic studies. He is currently in class KG 2. His teacher has been very impressed with the enthusiasm he attaches to his class activities. He is currently having no challenges with his academics. He performed excellently in his exams.

UPDATE ON JANET DEKPEY – BASIC 1

Janet Dekpey has spent one term in Basic 1. According to her teacher, she is one of the best students in her class. She is vocal and likes to contribute to class lessons. She behaves well in class. Her teacher added that when she first came to Basic 1, Janet had some struggles with writing. This is improving as her teacher has been giving her more writing practice. She came 6th out of 20, in recent examinations

UPDATE ON EMMANUEL ANIM – KG1

For a child who had never been to school prior to his admission, Emmanuel keeps improving to the amazement of his teachers. He takes his academics seriously and tries to work hard all the time. One of the areas where he is really improving is his fluency in speaking the English language. He could hardly say or understand a word when he was first admitted. Last term, he took the 12th position in class, out of 22. This term, he took the 9th position.

UPDATE ON JANET DEKPEY – KG2

According to Janet’s teacher, she has really improved this term. Her contribution to class lessons has been exceptional. Last term, she was not too confident with reading, but there has been a lot of improvement this term. She is able to read confidently. She has really worked hard to take the 2nd Position in class this term compared to last term where she came 4th.

Janet and Emmanuel will move from KG2 to Basic 1 and from KG1 to KG2 respectively for the next academic year

UPDATE ON EMMANUEL ANIM – KG1

Emmanuel has improved his ability to identify and recite numbers. He is now able to recite and identify numbers from 0 to 20. At the start of this term he was only able to recite the numbers from 0 to 10. He is also now able to recite the alphabet from A to Z using phonetics. He has really worked hard throughout the term. For a child who had never attended school before St Nicholas, his teachers are very impressed with his work and the effort he makes. He came 3rd out of 22 in the class after the end of term examinations. He is an excellent student.
He still mingles well with his colleagues and tries to get involved in all class activities.

UPDATE ON JANET DEKPEY – KG2

Janet has tried hard throughout the term and has been really involved in her class. Her attendance record at the school is very good. She is able to identify almost the entire alphabet and is able to read some simple short sentences. She has really worked hard to be one of the best students in the KG2 class. She came 5th out of 19 children after the end of term exams. Janet behaves very well in class and in the school as a whole.

UPDATE ON EMMANUEL ANIM- KG 1

ACADEMIC PROGRESS
Emmanuel had never been to school before his enrollment. Since joining St. Nicholas three months back, he has been progressing quickly in academics. Emmanuel has an artistic skill as he is good in drawing and coloring. He is able to identify and recite numbers up to 10 and recite alphabets up to N, using phonetics. He could not speak English at all but now he is able to express himself with simple vocabularies.

INTEREST AND SOCIAL LIFE
Emmanuel is interested in playing football. He freely mingles with friends but naturally, he is a reserved person. He does not retaliate when his mates offend him, rather, he makes a report to his teacher. He is very excited about school and always attends.

UPDATE ON JANET DEKPEY- KG 2

ACADEMIC PROGRESS
Janet is a very active student in class. When she joined the school, she did not have confidence in writing but has improved quite well now. She is able to recite and identify all the alphabets. She is able to recite numbers up to 50 and identify up to 20. She is also good in counting with objects.

INTEREST AND SOCIAL LIFE
Janet has been observed by her teacher to be interested in singing, dancing and recitals. She is a sociable person who is very free with her mates. She is cheerful most of the time and is very punctual in school. Her teacher has remarked that she is one of the promising students of the class
